Richard Gere became embroiled in a foul-mouthed confrontation after being accused of chatting up a married pretty woman in a restaurant.

Gere was told to ‘get the f*** out’ by the woman’s furious husband after allegedly flirting with her at Nick and Toni’s restaurant in Long Island, New York.
‘He kept staring at this woman. Her husband seemed agitated by it,’ a source told the New York Post.
‘He approached the other table. He didn’t acknowledge anyone around her. He was leaning in and trying to talk to her, leaning into her ear.’
The tete-a-tete was too much for the woman’s hubby to stomach, leaving him ranting at 63-year-old Gere to leave.
But the warning fell on deaf ears, as the actor ignored the man’s warning and continued his conversation before making his exit.
He was followed out by the husband to make sure he was on his way.
Gere’s camp said of the awkward showdown: ‘Reality is, he was at a table with his agents and their wives.
‘On his way out, he stopped to say hi to the people at that table and joked with the people briefly before leaving.’

Gere had been celebrating scooping the lifetime achievement award at the Hampton’s International Film Festival.
